Kurt seemed lost for a moment, then kind of snapped out of it, realizing he had been staring at Libby again. Dropping his gave a popping a few of the pickle slices into his mouth to keep him from saying something awkward at that moment, Kurt found the table very interesting all of a sudden.

When Kurt finally lifted his gaze he was about to say something when the waiter returned to see if they were ready. Kurt looked over and gave Libby a small grin because, of course, that was the timing luck he would have.

"I'll have the Gemüse Spätzle with salmon, please," he said as he put the menu down and then looked over at Libby so she could put in her order. He gave her an encouraging smile and nod.
