OOC :: SURPRISE! It's an INFO POST, everyone!
It's a new semester! And I have a new student! So here's the info post, although, really, there isn't a whole lot needed to prep you for Libby except to say that, Wow, I really did finally find a character to really bring my obsession with weird religious cults even more front and center than ever before, didn't I???

Liberty Hazlett (Libby for short) is a young woman raised in an evangelical Christian "Quiverfull" family in rural Tennessee. Most of her life, she'd been isolated from the outside world under the patriarchal thumb of her father and his religious teachings. This took a dramatic change when the old farmhouse next door was bought by the very alternative, liberal Forrester family and she meets Zo, a genderfluid teen from the city. Despite their very stark differences in upbringing and exposure to the world, Libby and Zo become fast friends, and her eyes are opened to a whole new world. Surprisingly, their parents get along well, too….until very suddenly, they don't, and a sharp rift is created between the two families. Libby gets her first taste of rebellion in defying her father to still visit Zo, and his discovery of her disobedience offsets a series of events that actually lead to her and her mother's liberation from this fundamentalist lifestyle.
With a whole world open to her and a newly discovered interest in the medical field and the desire to become a nurse, Libby sets off for Fandom on a scholarship program with the Fandom Clinic to start experiencing everything that life has to offer her outside of the rigid confines of being one of "God's righteous warriors."
Even though Libby has not at all lost her faith and devotion to God, she just sees it very different than how she was raised. And, despite her fundamentalist upbringing, she has a very open mind and a natural curiosity for other people and their stories. She particularly loves history and fantasy stories. Once upon a time, she may have admitted that she had trouble picturing her future, especially since she expected it to be just serving as a helpmeet for whichever husband her father deemed to be a suitable match, but now that new possibilities are on the horizon, she's eager to see what the future might have in store for her.
Granted, there's probably nothing that could prepare a person to have Fandom High be their first experience with school outside of the home, so it will be interesting, to say the least!
I really don't have any disclaimers or big, important tl;dr notes with Libby; she's very kind and sweet and incredibly normal, with the exception of her cultish upbringing, which I imagine might put some people off. And she might be initially uncomfortable with a lot of things, but she is very open minded, and her friendship with Zo has helped her make a few big steps in the direction of modern sensibilities, as well. Please know that she means well, she has just been very isolated and indoctrinated, and it's a process to break out of that. If, for whatever reason, though, anything is making you uncomfortable as a player, let me know so I can adjust accordingly.
And, while we're here, I have literally a million characters, but I can at least be thematic and give you a quick and dirty of my OTHER students, especially since I've realized that all my students are just Normal Ass Teenagers (give or take a little time travel), and therefore doing catch-ups on them is a lot easier. Not a lot, mostly just general refreshers on the basics:
