**BEEEEP!**
Room 229; Wednesday Morning [04/05].
Apr. 5th, 2023 04:58 amLife as a lamb was a pretty simple, easy, carefree one, really; Libby didn't have much to worry about in her current state, and she hadn't, really, for about a week now. Mostly, her main concerns had been getting out a lot of energy through prancing and climbing things, and then a lot of curling up and having naps, and making the most out of being outside when Kurt took her out. But that morning, she was inside, and she was feeling like she had too much sprightly energy again, which meant she was sort of bouncing around the room in an effort to expend some of it.
There hadn't been much to climb on, in Kurt and Guillermo's room, and she generally avoided the hammock now, after an unfortunate incident of getting pretty tangled up in it, but what she had discovered she was really fond of were the beanbag chairs. Specifically, she liked gearing up for a good bouncing prance across the room and then an expert little leap into them, where she'd then let herself sink into the softness of it. She'd wait a little while before then scrambling herself out of the beanbag (sometimes it was easier than others), and then just do it all over again.
Life as a lamb was pretty simple, and it clearly didn't take much to entertain herself, as she scrambled up out of the beanbag again with a little bit of a bleat and then pranced to the other side of the room to just go prancing right back and giving another leap into the bag again.
She could probably do this all day, really!
(Not really; she would eventually get a little bored or hungry or want to go outside, but for now? It was clearly the best thing ever).

To say Kurt was a bundle of nerves was an understatement. As much as he kept trying to tell himself that there was nothing to worry about, that it was just a Valentine's date, with Libby, at a nice restaurant, his mind kept yelling that that was EXACTLY reason to be worried!
He had gone back and forth for what seemed like an eternity trying to decide what would be best for their first big official date as boyfriend and girlfriend. And finally, he had found the perfect place- a nice German family-owned restaurant that really did make him feel like he was sitting in the open-air markets back home. The Olde Stein Inn had been around longer than he had, and it was listed as one of the best German restaurants in the state. So, after a bit of research, Kurt had made reservations and with some help from The Professor and Logan, he had managed to get the entire outdoor patio area reserved just for him and Libby.
And after what felt like an eternity planning and preparing, Kurt was there at Portalocity waiting for Libby to show up so they could go on their date. Kurt was wearing a nice suit. that he had gotten for the occasion. And he made a mental note to get Storm and Kitty on video chat sometime to thank them again for helping him shop for it.

It had been a long, strange break week (and some change) for Libby; honestly, it had been a long, strange month, when you really got right down to it. And even though she was still a little tired from staying up until midnight with Zo and Claire at their little party, she was back at the school, back in her room, tossing her suitcase on the bed and taking to unpacking and getting settled back in. Reflecting a little, as she put away thigs both new and old (lots of new books, mostly), and thinking on some of the odd, strange, awkward things that had happened while she was away.
Especially everything with Just's friend from church, confirming Libby's dreaded suspicion by making it crystal-clear that he was intending to court her. And her having to make it crystal-clear that she had no intention of courting anyone.
(But that wasn't exactly true, was it?)
It wouldn't be so bad, either, if he'd have gotten mad about it, or upset, or even belligerent like she imagined her father would have done. But he had been nice and kind and understanding, expressing that he knew God had given her a different path than most girls, and that he actually found that admirable, and that he could wait. What was just a few more years, anyway, in the great big grand scheme of things?
Libby sighed a little, but the fact that she was already feeling how good it was to be back here told her exactly what she already knew.

Libby had been a little bit worried, that her being out in space now would interfere with her plans to facetime Kurt while he was off at his old Academy for the break week, but she'd noticed Summer had been on her phone while they were there an awful lot, and she'd assured Libby that there shouldn't be a problem, and if there was, to go see her, because she would easily hook her up; apparently, she was connected not only to Fandom's universe right now, but also another completely different one, and said she did stuff like this all the time! So that was reassuring for Libby as she went to find a quiet spot where she could set everything up, taking a few moments to check how she looked in a mirror and trying to adjust herself accordingly, before swiftly reprimanding herself for vanity and reminding herself that it shouldn't matter how she looked, why was she even concerned about that?
She was just excited, to talk to Kurt and, most of all, to tell him where she was, because she didn't get the chance to tell him about her new plans for the break week before he left. She couldn't wait to see the look on his face!
So, with a deep breath and a hope that it would work, and then abruptly stopping herself when she realized she was smoothing out her hair and her skirt again, she looked to her phone and went to pull up the app and pull up Kurt's number.
[[ mostly for Kurt, but can definitely be open for other calls, texts, or anyone else there with her on Odessen after that, and NFB for distance, too, obvs! ]]

Room 232; Wednesday Morning [08/03].
Aug. 3rd, 2022 05:27 amLibby felt she'd done a pretty good job of shaking off all those uncomfortable feelings that last weekend had given her, and she was fairly certainly that the Wednesday activity in the park would help even further, but, just to make sure, she was spending that morning, sitting on her bed and hunched over her phone as she texted Zo about it and got her perspective on it.
There definitely weren't very many people back home she could text something like almost everyone wound up as their selves from twenty years in the future except for me and now I'm worried that I don't even have a future and have them not even blink an eye over it, but also respond, without hesitation, that maybe Libby's future was so awesome, that it would have just blown everyone's minds, so, for everyone's safety and well-being, she stayed herself.
Libby strongly doubted that, but she did appreciate the sentiment, and the two of them eventually devolved into their usual idle chatter, until Libby realized that if she didn't get going soon, she was going to miss the activity entirely.
So she told Zo why she had to go, which then just sucked her right back into some speculation about how terrible the shirt she was going to get this week would.
Oh, she was so going to be late getting to the park, but it was worth it, for some of Zo's ideas on what horrors in clothing might await Libby today.

It's a new semester! And I have a new student! So here's the info post, although, really, there isn't a whole lot needed to prep you for Libby except to say that, Wow, I really did finally find a character to really bring my obsession with weird religious cults even more front and center than ever before, didn't I???
( An Arrow in the Quiver of God's Righteous Warriors )
And, while we're here, I have literally a million characters, but I can at least be thematic and give you a quick and dirty of my OTHER students, especially since I've realized that all my students are just Normal Ass Teenagers (give or take a little time travel), and therefore doing catch-ups on them is a lot easier. Not a lot, mostly just general refreshers on the basics:
( Oleanders could live through anything….so what did they need poison for? )
( A Himbo Before it was Cool. )
( Sakaki, your boobs are 8cm bigger than mine, so step back 8cm! )
And a few notes about me, myself, and I:
I'm L.S., I'm also responsible for *deep breath*
somethingwithturquoise,
in_sidon_we_trust,
died8yearsago,
special_rabbit,
sake_shinigami,
lilac_eyed_lieutenant,
hashtag_chocobro,
chef_chocobro, and
sword_chocobro, which is a lot, y'all, I am so not doing info posts on them all right now, but I'm very accessable via email (ellis(dot)engler(at)gmail(dot)com) and I'm on discord more now, but I usually have to be DM'd or summoned. CST (Chicago area), corporate wage slave/Amazon grocery drone with unpredictable hours, but I'm usually up at Stupid O'Clock in the morning beause I tend to have early morning shifts. I'm almost always down for anything, so please don't hesitate to poke at me or just throw things at me, I am here for it!
I am just not here for doing 10 million info posts that I've been neglecting for years.
I am, however, also here for questions, comments, concerns, cake, pie, and gifs.
